Lantau Island - The Big Buddha

I went on an exploration tour yesterday to the Big Buddha on Lantau Island. This Buddha is one of the largest in the world with hundreds of stairs to climb before you reach the top. In addition there is a Montesary called the Po Lin Montesary just below the stairs that we visited. We were not aloud to take pictures inside the temples but this is from the outside looking in so you can imagine how beautiful they are to walk through.

Mong Kok

Mong Kok is the first place I traveled to in Hong Kong aside from the university. It is located in the Yau Tsim Mong District on the western part of Kowloon Peninsula which is where my university is located. MK has the highest population density in Hong Kong and one of the greatest in the world with 340,000 people per square mile.
